At Salon D, we believe beauty is about more than how you look. It is also about how you feel.
We were proud to be part of the grand opening of the new Kids-U Learning Center at Derby Park Apartment Homes, where our team provided complimentary haircuts for community members.
It was a meaningful opportunity to step outside the salon, connect with local families, and use our craft to help make a special day even more memorable.
The grand opening celebrated a new resource created to bring greater opportunities to the Derby Park community.
Through Kids University, residents can access free programs including after-school tutoring, summer camps, swim lessons, mentorship, and other educational and enrichment activities.
For Salon D, being part of the celebration was about more than providing haircuts. It was about showing up, connecting with our community, and contributing in a way that reflects who we are.
We were grateful to celebrate alongside the City of Grand Prairie HFC, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Freddie Mac, Simply Custom, Kids University, and the many people who helped bring the Kids-U Learning Center to life.
Each organization played a role in supporting this important community initiative, while Salon D was honored to contribute to the grand opening by providing complimentary haircuts.
We are proud to have played a small part in a day centered around community, opportunity, and connection.
